ABDUL - RAHMAN TOUFIK, MD

FOUNDER & CEO

Abdul-Rahman Toufik is a medical doctor with a diploma in International Environmental Law and Governance and is currently having his postgraduate clinical observership at the University of Magdeburg, Germany. He is an Associate Editor at the Harvard Public Health Review and a Senior Editor at The NYC Daily Post and the former Deputy Director for the Sumy State University Intramural Health Case Competition. Due to his passion for diplomacy and research, he has participated in and held several International Positions on various United Nations and medical conference platforms. In his spare time, he likes to read, play video games, watch football, or listen to music.

WIREKO ANDREW AWUAH, MD

PRESIDENT

Wireko Andrew Awuah is a graduated medical doctor from Sumy State University in Ukraine. Andrew's passion for research led him to co-found the ICORMed research collaborative with seven other bright medical students from around the world in 2022. He enjoys research, which has gained him reputable research positions around globally, most notably as the Research Lead at the Walter E. Dandy Neurosurgical Research Society in the United Kingdom. He is also distinguished member of the Cambridge Society for the Application of Research in the United Kingdom. Andrew's significant contributions to science have earned him prestigious prizes, including the top medical student award at Sumy State University.

POULAMI ROY

GENERAL SECRETARY

Poulami Roy is a promising medical student hailing from India, with a burning ambition to become a renowned physician scientist. As the Vice President of Activities for the Global Association of Indian Medical Students, affiliated with the esteemed American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI), she demonstrates exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to empowering her peers. A true advocate of research and knowledge dissemination, Poulami proudly serves as an Elsevier Student Ambassador, promoting the exchange of scientific ideas worldwide. Her exceptional aptitude caught the eye of the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, India, granting her a coveted spot in the Medical Students Research Training Program (MedSRT), an honour reserved for only 20 medical students across the nation. Beyond her academic pursuits, Poulami finds joy in the simple pleasures of life. In her free time, she indulges in the enchanting realms of storybooks, expressing her artistic side through the mesmerising art of dance, and sharpening her problem-solving skills with Rubik's cubes.

EVELYN FAITH

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS

Evelyn is a Nigerian and a ifth-year medical student. She is a self-motivated, detail-oriented, critical and efficient writer with about 5 years of experience writing content for websites and social media pages, creating copy for marketing campaigns and generating publicity strategy for businesses. She is mostly interested in cardiology research and is willing to explore different areas of medicine as long as they can influence or impact the life of at least one individual. She is young, vibrant and passionate about the exploration of technology in medicine and the future of academics in medicine. She also loves to learn languages, sing, listen to music and discover new books and great content. You can either catch her spending time alone in coffee shops or having meaningful discussions with her close friends.

Alexandra Condurat

SOCIAL MEDIA EDITOR

Alexandra Condurat is currently a medical student at "Grigore T. Popa" University of Medicine and Pharmacy. She finds her daily motivation in the challenges that life gives her. She considers herself as an organized person, extrovert and always willing to work in a team. Alexandra has developed her artistic side since childhood, always putting her creativity to the test.

Ademeta Esther Oluwafeyisayo

SOCIAL MEDIA ASSOCIATE EDITOR

Ademeta Esther Oluwafeyisayo is currently a Fourth year medical student at Sumy State University Ukraine. She loves studying, traveling, writing articles and learning new things. She attended Federal Government Girls college Akure, Nigeria where she graduated with distinctions and represented the school in various competitions. Esther is also a member of the Toufik's Medical Organization. She co-authored the article on “Female Genital Multilations(FGM) “ which was published by British Medical Journal on January 2022. She is interested in global health issues and likes to publish and on them.

Shankhaneel Gosh

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Shankhaneel is a passionate medical researcher with a strong academic background in bioethics, biostatistics, medical coding, and academic writing. He has a keen interest in public health and neurology and is dedicated to making significant contributions to clinical research. Shankhaneel's work has been published in national and international journals, and he is associated with various leading student medical organizations. His ultimate goal is to establish a prominent position in medical academia and make a valuable impact in the field.

Nicholas Aderinto

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Nicholas Aderinto is an early career researcher with experience in research and editorial positions. Currently, he holds an academic editor position at PLOS One, where he manages the review and proofreading of research papers across various fields for publication in the prestigious open-access journal. Nicholas is a member of prominent professional associations, including the American Academy of Neurology and the European Academy of Neurology. Beyond his academic pursuits, Nicholas is a respected columnist, sharing his insights on health-related issues in major local and international media outlets.

Abdullahi Tunde Aborode

Abdullahi Tunde Aborode

DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH

Abdullahi Tunde Aborode is a global health advocate, Harm Reduction Scholar in Germany, Global, Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene Student Ambassador, WHO antibiotics guardian, drug policy and harm reduction advocate and health researcher with more than 60 publications in international peer reviewed journals such as SAGE, Elsiever, Taylor and Francis, Havard Public Health Review, American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygeine etc. Asides being a student, he assumes the professional role of Director for research in SWIS Africa Research Hub, Oli Health Magazine Organization, Healthy Africans Platform, and Brain Builder Youth Development Intiatives. He have serve as a reviewer for many international recognized journals. He is an Editor and researcher for Polygeia (an international research body). Abdullahi has presented various research works in international conferences, recently present his publication in Royal Society of Chemical of Nanoscience, Beyond Science Intiatives (Havard University), IMEDSCOP and many more. He is the only African selected as Youth Advisor for Databank Mental Health project organized by CAMBRIDGE and Oxford University. He is selected as a data contributor for Oxford COVID-19 Government Response Tracker.
